What is Craniosacral therapy and how can it help me?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that works through the nervous system to correct imbalances caused by excessive pain, stress and anxiety. The experience invites clients into a deep state of relaxation with a sense of peace and well-being continuing long after leaving the office.
Sometimes a stuck area of the body needs a little extra pressure or movement to release and we call this process Unwinding. Craniosacral therapists explore areas of restricted movement and use the body’s own wisdom to flow into and through positions finding the optimal release and restoring freedom of movement.
Have you ever felt how different emotions are felt and stored in areas of the body?
Tension is often held in the shoulders, anxiety can be felt as a tightening of the chest, and fear can express as a clenching or heaviness in the gut. The unwinding process is a powerful catalyst for identifying and freeing these stored emotions.
Craniosacral therapy is very useful for understanding and managing the physical and emotional aspects of the stress response. If the effects of daily or situational stress are not addressed, they can lead to debilitating pain or anxiety conditions. Areas of chronic physical tension can deteriorate, losing strength and function over time.
Stress management is not a luxury! It is an essential part of your long-term health and well-being. Bodywork is a supportive tool to enhance your wellness regime in concert with other psychotherapeutic interventions.
