Amber Schmidt, LCSW-C
Amber offers an eclectic approach to therapy that addresses the whole person. Amber’s passion lies in helping people derive personal, differentiated meaning in their lives, and to actualize their fullest potential. As there is no one size fits all therapy, your sessions will be collaborative and individualized based on your personal needs. Amber’s goal is to provide a safe healing space to explore personal acceptance and positive change. Amber’s areas of practice include personality disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationship conflict, psychotic disorders, and grief issues. She has specialized training in dialectical Behavioral Therapy, relational psycho-therapy as well as traditional psycho-analytic approaches.
Amber has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Denver; as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Mental Health Specialization from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work.
