Erin Wical, LGPC
Erin is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. She went on to receive her Level I Trauma Certificate from the Ferentz Institute in 2019. Erin has experience working within private practice, as well as community agency settings. She has treated individuals with various mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. She also has experience working with individuals dealing with relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, life transitions and trauma.
Erin works from a client-centered and strengths-based approach. This emphasizes the importance of the client-counselor relationship, while creating a warm and safe space for the client. She collaborates with the client to identify their own strengths and how to utilize those during sessions to create change within their lives. While working together, Erin will identify techniques that may be beneficial for each client to create their own unique treatment plan. These techniques will most often be derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
