Naomi Orevba, LCSW-C, MBA

Experience

Naomi is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) that believes in the importance of goal setting when seeking therapy services. Naomi’s journey started when she graduated from Frostburg State University with a dual major in social work and sociology. During her academic learning, Naomi gained experience at the Head Start program. She promoted school readiness for children by increasing their emotional, social, and cognitive development. Naomi gained further experience at a nursing home within Allegany County. She cared for residents by helping to improve their mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. Naomi, later on, went to the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, where she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). In graduate school, Naomi gained experience in a medical setting at an award-winning hospital for its innovative and quality health care services for serving patients within Montgomery County. Naomi increased her learning and obtained an abundance of knowledge through assisting with discharge planning, crisis intervention, care planning, and assessments. She collaborated and coordinated with interdisciplinary teams to support treatment plans and effectively utilized community resources to support overall wellness to patients. Naomi continued on the path of serving patients within a health care institution. She was able to join one of the leading academic teaching hospitals located in Baltimore. Naomi worked with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. Also, during her time at the hospital, Naomi provided mental health services to patients at the adult psychiatric outpatient program, in which she decided it was time to venture out to mental health clinics. Naomi was able to join a counseling clinic and an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC), while attending the University of Maryland, Global Campus (UMGC). She graduated with her Master of Business Administration (MBA). Naomi has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to address a wide range of presenting issues from family conflicts, coping with addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, anger management, concentration and focus, and other presenting problems. Over the past few years, Naomi has continued to hone in on her proficiency in supporting and empowering clients in addressing their mental health needs. Naomi’s expertise and preferences are geared towards helping individual clients 16 and older with depression, motivation, self-esteem and confidence issues, intimacy-related issues, life- counseling, anxiety, and needing coping skills for life stressors.
